A petrified crab from the Houston Museum of Natural Science touched up with LucisArt.

BTW: Just got my first print from Pixel2Canvas. They did a really great job processing and getting it to me.

We've got three digit temperatures this weekend. Time to watch the electricity meter spin like a top!

This is Larry from Goldhagen Art Glass Studio. Detail image from his art is here.

Looking forward to another trip to see these artists with my tripod of course. I've deleted so many glass blowing images because I hand-held my camera under low light - bright flame situation. Good thing I don't make a living with my images!

Thought I'd post an example of some of the old slide restoration work I've been working on. Tedious? Yup. Rewarding? Yup.

This is a before - after example of some of the techniques I've been trying to correct images; but, it is tough to preserve their character.

This is Ted Evers, my grandfather. This slide was taken in the late '40's - early '50's. I've got many images of him and this 1947 Pontiac. Here is an earlier post of him and his toy: link.

BTW: I've finally come to the maximum allowable image storage so I'm having to decide which image to delete. Tough sometimes.

Meet Larry (OK, his hand) from Goldhagen Art Glass Studio. He granted me permission to shoot over his shoulder and I did my best not to distract him from his tasks.

Once again I kicked myself for not bringing my tripod. Will I ever learn!?!? Low light, bright hot subject, and hand-held just doesn't cut it.

I'll see Larry next year with any luck.

One of the many images I will be posting from my 2 week, 3500 mile road trip with the family.

This is an image I captured while riding on the double Ferris Wheel in Hiawassee, Ga. I blasted it with LucisArt for fun.
